In the soul of the protagonist of the story I am (romance) is a struggle between good and evil, humanism and bigotry. He is a Chekist, but also a man, a rebellious son who, after the most shameful crime against the dearest human - the mother, destroys the remnants of humanity in himself and dies morally.
